Installing NOLOH
Installing NOLOHoverviewdiscussion

Installing NOLOH to run applications written on NOLOH platform is not a cumbersome task. This article walks you through the details of NOLOH installation. In order to install NOLOH on a machine, you need to have the following additional software.

  • Web server that supports PHP 5.1 +
  • PHP 5.1 or higher

NOLOH can be copied either through Windows Explorer or through Command Prompt.

  • Windows Explorer: Drag and drop the NOLOH folder and License to the local web server folder.
  • Command Prompt: Unzip NOLOH into the root folder of the web server. Also copy the NOLOH license file to the root folder of your web server.

In order to run NOLOH, SourceGuardian has to be installed on the machine. SourceGuardian can be found at http://sourceguardian.com/ixeds/.

  • You have to click on the Latest Loaders tab. Once this is done, click on the download php script found at the bottom of the page . A file called sg4-howto-install.zip will be downloaded on to your machine.
  • Copy this file onto the root folder of the web server and unzip it. A file named howto-install.php will be created. Now, open the howto-install.php file through the web browser.
  • You have to pick one of the two options provided for downloading a file depending on whether you have a 32-bit or a 64-bit processor. Either Windows Explorer or Command Prompt can be used for saving the file.
  • Unzip this file to the root folder of the web server. If a message "Run-time loading is not possible because of Automatic loading is not possible on our machine..." shows up you have to move a file called "ixed.5.2.win" from the root folder of the web server to the folder where PHP is installed (ex:- C:\PHP) and then edit the php.ini file(Configuration Settings) and add the following line extension=ixed.5.2.win

Once all the above steps have been followed, you have to restart PHP for the changes to take effect. Your server can now run applications written on NOLOH platform. In order to verify the installation of SourceGuard, refresh the page howto-install.php from the web browser. If the installation is successful you will see "Old SourceGuardian loader is already installed, you need to upgrade it to latest version".
